Our diverse mental health team is enthusiastic and dedicated to providing quality services to our clients. We ensure a safe environment and a personable and unique experience. Finding the right therapist can be challenging, therefore, free initial consultations are offered to all clients prior to embarking on this therapeutic journey with us. This process allows us to determine the best client/clinician match for a successful experience.

Meet our Staff

Dr. Tashna Felix

Owner/Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Felix is the owner and director of Professional Psychological Services. She is licensed as a psychologist in Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland. She is also a Certified Sex Offender Treatment provider (CSOTP) and qualified to provide adult and youth psychosexual evaluations, treatment, and consultation. Dr. Felix specializes in Competency to Stand Trial evaluations, Mental State at the Time of the Offense and Not Criminally Responsible evaluations, Fitness for Duty evaluations, Juvenile Transfer and Waiver evaluations, Psychosexual evaluations, and Psychological evaluations. She consults with attorneys, courts, and organizations, specializing in criminal, civil, employment, and family law matters.

Dr. Felix earned her doctorate degree from Argosy University/Washington DC campus. She attended an APA accredited internship at MercyFrist in Syosset, NY and relocated to the Washington DC metropolitan area in 2009. She has conducted numerous trainings and presentations including “Understanding and Managing Anger” for Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC), “Psychology on Special Needs Family” for The Mary and Melissa Show, “Suicide Prevention” and “Mental Health” trainings for William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center, “Comprehensive Approaches to Juvenile Sex Offender Treatment” for API Associates, Inc. and “Sexual Behaviors in Children and Adolescents” for INOVA Hospital. Dr. Felix is a member of American Psychological Association (APA), Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ), Virginia Juvenile Justice Association (VJJA), Virginia Sex Offender Association (VSOTA), Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), and National Association of Forensic Counselors (NAFC).

Our Therapists

Dr. Laura Neely

Dr. Laura Neely is a Licensed Psychologist in the States of Maryland and Virginia. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She completed her APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C. where she gained expertise in the assessment and treatment of individuals who are suicidal or suffering from severe mental illness. Dr. Neely completed a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in the Laboratory for the Treatment of Suicide-Related Ideation and Behavior, where she focused on clinical trials methodology, psychotherapy outcome research, and the application of cognitive behavior therapy to patients with histories of attempted suicide. She provided psychological assessment and cognitive behavioral therapy for suicide on the psychiatric inpatient unit at Walter Reed Hospital to Service members who had recently attempted suicide. She then served as the Associate Director of the lab for over three years, where she provided oversight and operational leadership for the day-to-day management of clinical research activities that focused on suicide prevention for military personnel. Currently, Dr. Neely is the Assistant Director of Research and Program Evaluation at the Department of Defense Suicide Prevention Office, where she manages a comprehensive suicide prevention research portfolio and supports an integrated public health, community-based approach to suicide prevention for military Service members and their families. Dr. Neely also specializes in psychological evaluations and conducts comprehensive cognitive and emotional psychological testing.

Ms. Rebecca Rebstock

Ms. Rebstock is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University with a concentration in children and families of Hispanic descent. Ms. Rebstock has previously worked with children and adolescents in an in-patient psychiatric hospital setting and conducted psychiatric evaluations on identified patients in the Emergency Department at Children’s National in Washington D.C. In addition,she has experience in providing emotional support and counseling to mothers,postpartum, in the hospital setting. Ms. Rebstock specializes in providing individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults with a specialized concentration in depression, postpartum depression and anxiety.

Ms. Samantha Wright

Ms. Wright is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She received her Master's Degree from the University of San Diego in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is licensed to practice in VA, MD, and DC. She has training and experience in CBT, Exposure and Response Prevention, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Ms. Wright specializes in providing individual counseling for adolescents and adults, with a primary focus on disordered eating, anxiety, psychotic disorders, substance use, depression, and trauma.

Mr. Jean-Andre Constant

Mr. Constant is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Puerto Rico and completed a Postmaster’s certification in Clinical Supervision at The University of Connecticut. Mr. Constant has practiced in the field of mental health therapy and counseling for 15 years. He provides services for adolescents, adults, and families with a wide range of emotional issues. Mr. Constant is fluent in Creole, French, Spanish and English.

Ms. Hiwot Gizachew

Ms. Gizachew is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the commonwealth of Virginia. She completed her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, counseling from The Chicago School of Psychology. Ms. Gizachew specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults with range of concerns related to emotional dysregulations, mood disorder, substance abuse and life stressors. Ms. Gizachew specializes in providing evidenced- based treatments including but not limited to Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interview and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Ms. Krystal Darnell

Ms. Krystal Darnell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She received her Masters of Clinical Social Work from George Mason University. Ms. Darnell specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with the use of an evidence-based Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) treatment. Ms. Darnell is skilled in the use of multiple therapeutic modalities including, Solution-Focused Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. Ms. Darnell is trained in TF-CBT and have extensive experience working with at-risk youth within the rural, suburban, and urban communities, where I have been able to use my skills  to address traumas including childhood abuse, COVID-19, bullying, grief or loss, divorce or separation from a parent, and community violence. In addition to other areas of childhood difficulties such as depression, anxiety, ADHD symptoms, parental support, personality disorders, and oppositional behaviors. Ms. Darnell has extensive experience with many diverse populations and cultures in outpatient, home-based, and therapeutic day treatment services.

Mr. Donald Denton

Mr. Denton is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He received his Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. He has been working in the mental health field for a decade and has worked in various settings including residential treatment facilities, in-home and community, and outpatient treatment providers.  Mr. Denton utilizes an eclectic approach utilizing various evidenced based treatment modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Humanistic Therapy tailored to the client's individual needs and preferences.  Mr. Denton specializes in providing counseling to youth and adults with focus on treating mood disorders, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, and substance use disorders.  In addition, Mr. Denton is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and has numerous years of training and experience in treating individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) influenced treatment modalities.  Mr. Denton has a passion for helping individuals in the esports and gaming community, with a deep understanding of the challenges facing content creators, streamers, and e-sports athletes.

Ms. Sorlyz Pagan

Ms. Sorlyz Pagan is a Resident in Counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned a Master’s Degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ms. Pagan has experience providing therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing a wide range of emotional, social, and behavioral concerns. She is also a Registered Behavioral Therapist, Behavioral Analyst Certification Board. Ms. Pagan is fluent in Spanish.

Ms. Sonia Castro

Ms. Sonia Castro is a Resident in Counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University. Ms. Castro integrates the use of drawing, painting, and sculpture with psychotherapeutic concepts to promote healing and emotional well-being.Ms. Castro has extensive experience providingindividual counseling services to children, adolescents, and families of diverse backgrounds who have experienced interpersonal trauma such as domestic violence, dating violence, bullying, discrimination, and oppression. Ms. Castro has provided art therapy and counseling services in a variety of settings including a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, anadult oncology/hematology infusion center, an inpatient oncology/hematology unit, and an outpatient domestic violence counseling clinic. Additionally, she has provided in-home and community-based counseling services to children and adolescents.

Ms. Tatiana Braddy-Gadsden

Administrative Assistant

Ms. Braddy-Gadsden attends George Mason University with a major in Health Sciences and Nursing and a minor in Psychology. She is currently working towards becoming a Pediatric Nurse. Ms. Braddy-Gadsden earned a Certified Medical Assistance (CMA)certification and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification during her senior year of high school. As an active member in the Student Nurses Association (SNA), Ms.Braddy-Gadsden continues to dedicate her time helping others through various volunteer opportunities.
